The Face Of Canada
The winter olympic games ended and what an ending, with national pride at stake, and the entire nation watching, team Canada did what they were supposed to do...win and win in stlye. The saying that winning is every thing is not necessarily true but it does in most case carry a lot of weight.
One week earlier the national team suffered what many considered to be an unacceptable loss the USA, in fact heads were called for but the teamitself remaind on course. The slight hic-up merely called for more determination. The teams motto recently, released shows what team work can accomplish:

- That this is our time.
- That 14 days in February will be 2 weeks for the ages.
- That every day counts.
- That every meeting matters.
- That every practice makes a difference.
- That each one of us will rise to every occasion.
- That this isn't about us, it's about our country.
- That we know 33 million Canadians will attend every game.
- That home ice is an advantage.
- That nothing can distract us.
- That nothing will stop us.
- That our determination will define us.
- That we are built to win.
- That we are a team of character.
- That we are a team of destiny.
- So let the world be warned on February 28, 2010, we will …

This then is the spirit of Canada and best refects a nation that respects regorous debate but prides itself on excellence and best of all...loves a hero!
